This is one of the only shows in the history of the Disney Channel to break its own "65 limit" (where Disney will cancel a show after 65 episodes to keep it from going stale and from collecting residuals). It is the first Disney Channel show to reach 100 episodes.
T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh felt her character Tonya Baxter was going nowhere and quit the show near the end of the third season. After her departure, it was explained in one episode that Tonya received a scholarship to study International Law in Europe.
The original name for the main character was Dawn Baxter, and the show was originally named 'The Future Is on Me.' However, they changed the main character's name to Rose Baxter, and the show was called 'Absolutely Psychic.' Eventually, the show was finally called 'That's So Raven.'
This is one of Disney's most successful shows, earning over $100 million dollars in merchandise, and passing the 65 episode limit. It's the second longest running show on Disney, right behind Wizards of Waverly Place (2007).
In an interview with the African American Literature Book Club, Raven-Symone was asked if she ever sensed her "phsycic abilities" she portrays in the show in real life. Raven replied , "Yes, I have. I don't really like to talk about it too much, because it's a little personal for me. But I'm a very spiritual person, and I believe that there are amazing special gifts that people are blessed with. It just depends on whether you want to listen or not."
In season 1, Raven throws a party for Corey & asked bring out a snake. Raven exclaims in the episodes that she hates. In real life, Raven-Symone really is terrified of snakes. She stated that the experience was very traumatic for her and the repulsing faces she's making while holding the snake are real.
