Storyline

Danny Parker hosts the show from a secret location deep in the heart of Auckland's beautiful Onehunga. The show consists of a series of shows with in the show. Like Randy Cambell New Zealand's greatest daredevil stuntman who each week attempts a stunt so stupid he'll be lucky if he doesn't lose an eye. Other characters include Ray Smoodiver Porn Detective, The Cunstables and The crew onboard the Bottlestore Galactica. Danny Parker is also an interviewer. These interviews always end in bloody fights. Written by Warren Coldridge

"I was eating a sandwich in the shower and I slipped"- Danny Parker.

Without a doubt, if you are not from New Zealand you have probibly never heard of this show. Even if you are from New Zealand the chances are you have never heard of this show. This is a shame really, because the plain and simple truth is that 'Back of the Y Masterpiece Television' A.K.A BOTY is the funniest television show of ALL TIME!

The key to BOTY's success is that the humour (All of which is sophisticated toilet and/or violence related) spares no one in it's quest for a solid half hour of laughs. The show is just so dirty and violent it's amazing that they actually showed it on TV (when they did show it, it was on late at night and its release had been held back months due to the TV station re-vising the material ie - bleeping out the constant use of the word C**t).

The show covers all the interesting, uncharted avenues of television comedy

  • A television presenter named Danny Parker who likes to beat up and

harass his guests on live TV. New Zealands greatest Daredevel stuntman Randy Campbell (who always "f**ks up" his stunts). Randys mechanic "Retarded South Islander Spanners Watson" is always good for a laugh. Smoodiver, New Zealands Porn detective who likes to indulge in his job a little too much. A Bogan police force affectionitly called the C**tstables. Plus there is non stop m*sturbation jokes. People eating poo's and drinking P*ss as a challange for money. Police officers shooting children, a boozie Sci Fi series called Bottlestore Gallactica and funniest of all a challange called the W*nkrace (no need to explain that one).

Whats really amazing is that Matt Heath and Chris Stapp have created a stunning televsion show with what looks like a budget of less than $10 NZL for the entire series. The show was made entirely on home video cameras and edited on home computers. I have some of Stapp/Heaths earlier work on video at home and it is good to see that they have stuck to their formular of low budget, ass kicking mayhem in thier largest production to date. Worth at least a million out of 10 in a best TV show ranking.
