Trivia

There was supposed to be a unification match between Tajiri and X-Pac for both the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship and the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, but X-Pac was injured about one week before the pay-per-view, so the match was scrapped. As a result, the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship was retired, while the WCW Cruiserweight Championship was renamed the WWF/WWE Cruiserweight Championship. See more »

Goofs

On commentary, Jim Ross states that Undertaker made his Survivor Series debut in 1990 (which is correct), but then states that Undertaker defeated Hulk Hogan for the WWF title in his Survivor Series debut, which is incorrect. Undertaker defeated Hogan for the WWF title at the 1991 Survivor Series. See more »

Quotes

Jim Ross: Because the Rock hasn't tapped out!
Paul Heyman: [Outside joke on the Montreal screw job 4 years before] That hasn't stopped him before.

maybe the WWF's worst ppv of 2001
30 November 2001 | by (Nashville, TN) – See all my reviews

This was a disappointing event but still good and worthy watchin if you're a wrestling fan. The event started off good though as Christian took on Al Snow who should wrestle on tv more. Then in a 3 minute match that should have never been on the ppv William Regal took on Tajiri. Match 3 was disappointing too as Edge took on Test and the winner gets to unify the US and IC titles, Edge cut a funny promo on Test before the match though. Next the Dudley Boys took on the Hardy Boys in a cage match to unify the WCW & WWF titles, this was probably the best match of the night. Then we had a 20 man battle royal as the winner gets immunity from being fired for a whole year, a pointless match and it was one of the worst battle royals I've ever seen. Then the WWF played the whole Creed song My Sacrifice and it was really good with WWF clips. Next was the 6-pack challenge for the women's title which was vacant due to Chyna getting fired. Jazz debuts in this one as the mystery woman, but of course it's another bad women's match. And the main event was a 10-man tag The Alliance vs the WWF, Rock, Jericho, Undertaker, Kane & Big Show took on Shane McMahon, RVD, Booker T, Kurt Angle & Stone Cold. The main event was pretty good too so overall the event had it's good and bad but I think it might be the worst ppv the WWF has put on in the year of 2001 but we still have Vengeance
