There isn't much I can say about this documentary, I saw it on the Criterion edition of Straw Dogs. However, the version I saw had to have all movie footage taken out for legal reasons. Basically, it's just Sam Peckinpah's friends discussing his career and his downfall. People like L.Q. Jones and Kris Kristofferson speak about all the small details of Peckinpah's life. The one thing I was interested in is the detailed discussion of Sam Peckinpah's character. There is a friend of his that discusses his paranoia and his cocaine addiction and how these afflictions became worse and worse over time. It's sad that Peckinpah had to endure so much, but his films were his life's imprint. It's great if you're a Peckinpah fan, I'm not sure if I am right now though.
