Now available on DVD, Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse has managed to become a favorite since it first hit the scene almost ten years ago. I'm actually a tough sell when it comes to animated holiday efforts (my plate is full), but this one is a great combination of stories, and it's put together in a way that's great fun for the kids. Mine, for example, are huge fans of all the moments that come between the main courses. Tis the season at the House of Mouse, and a huge crew of Disney characters find themselves snowed in. To take everyone's mind off their predicament, Mickey and Minnie play some "home movies." The featured treats are: Donald on Ice, Pluto and the Christmas Tree, The Nutcracker, and Mickey's Christmas Carol. All of them solid efforts, but the last two are the real stars. »

New On DVD This Week

Here’s a list of some of the new movie and TV shows coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week that we’re looking forward to seeing. Also, there’s some classic, and not-so-classic, movies hitting Blu-ray for the first time this week as well.

Of all the new releases, we’re particularly interested in the Blu-ray versions of movies and TV shows such as G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, North by Northwest, It’s a Wonderful Life and The Rockford Files. Plus, there’s some classic Dr. Who coming out this week as well.
