This film begins with Snub Pollard trying to hang himself--why, we don't know. However, on a lark, he decides instead to get a job at the circus--where he gets into one problem after another.
While this is not a bad film, it really isn't all that funny--and that's a problem since it's supposed to be a comedy! Too often, the film called for falling down and making faces instead of genuinely funny situations.
In addition to Snub Pollard, the film features Paul Parrot. While you may not recognize his name, he was the brother of Charley Chase (Charles Parrot). And, oddly, his real first name was James, not Paul. He was a movie comedian of only minor importance. But, as a director for Hal Roach Studios, he was one of the tops--having directed the likes of Laurel & Hardy and Harold Lloyd.
