In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the 48-year-old multifaceted star opens up about that difficult time.

After becoming the first Latin American actress to earn a seven-figure film salary (for 1997’s Selena), Lopez felt immense

10 Things You Didn’t Know about the Ben Affleck Daredevil Movie

The Daredevil movie was quite honestly a flop. It had only few really redeemable qualities aside from the fact that it had Jennifer Garner and a completely insane Bullseye. Aside from that the film was a cinematic dud in every sense of the word. When the history books are opened after a while and this film is found it will no doubt read as one of Affleck’s biggest failures, and considering how bad he got roasted for Gigli that’s not exactly comforting. There are a few things that even the diehards had trouble pointing at though throughout this movie. Maybe

The pop diva wowed her followers on Thursday when she posted a snap of her rock hard abs whilst posing in front of her bathroom mirror.

Lopez, 47, could be seen wearing a cropped white Guess jumper and grey joggers which perfectly highlighted her taut stomach.

However some trolls were quick to accuse the “Shades Of Blue” star of using editing tools to achiever her flawless finish.

NBC has delayed its plan produce “Bye Bye Birdie” toplined by Jennifer Lopez as live musical until next year.

The tuner had been set to air as NBC’s holiday musical event this year. The decision to push it a year was driven by Lopez’s overflowing schedule, which includes two series for NBC, “World of Dance” and the drama “Shades of Blue.”

The postponement of “Birdie” means NBC will not stage a musical event this holiday season. Earlier this month, NBC unveiled plans for a “Jesus Christ Superstar Live” event to air on Easter Sunday next year.

What Ben Affleck Needs to Do to Save The Batman

What Ben Affleck Needs to Do to Save The Batman
Studios don't generally like it when a big budget, tentpole film that they are putting a lot of money behind has some speed bumps. Generally, they like things to run as smoothly as possible so that positive word of mouth remains positive. The last thing they want is to craft this perfect little bow of film, only to have the bow unravel during production, or worse, before the release.

So it probably gave Warner Bros. and DC Films a fair amount of stomach pains when Ben Affleck, very publicly, stepped out of the director's chair on The Batman. The reason he gave was that he didn't feel he could do both jobs. This makes sense as playing a superhero in a movie one is directing, is probably much harder than playing the Tony Mendez character in Argo.

However, Hollywood, and more specifically, the media, can't just accept Affleck's reasoning.

Review: ‘Going in Style’ is a Serviceable, Formulaic Remake

Back before Martin Brest was placed into forced retirement post-Gigli, he had a run of comedy hits including Midnight Run and Beverly Hills Cop. The first of these studio pictures, however, was a heist flick starring eighty-year old George Burns, seventy-year old Lee Strasberg, and fifty-year old Art Carney as clean-nosed roommates inexplicably looking to rob a bank. The fun was in the preparation—a rejuvenated excitement in their lives. The drama came via a long, winding road of tragedy afterwards. So of course Warner Bros. thought about how they could cull together a twenty-first century trio of octogenarians to do the exact same thing. Have them decide to rob their own bank for revenge and ride into the sunset for a senior citizen Hell or High Water.

Well, the result isn’t quite that successful so don’t start handicapping Going in Style for any Oscar nominations just yet.

Matt Damon vs. Ben Affleck: Film Critics Are Forced to Pick a Favorite — IndieWire Critics Survey
Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film and TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best film in theaters right now?”, can be found at the end of this post.)

From “School Ties” to “Live By Night” and this weekend’s “The Great Wall,” Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have each — for better and worse — left a considerable and ever-increasing footprint in the cultural landscape. But while the world is wide enough for both of them, our hearts are not. And so, we forced our panel of critics to choose: Ben Affleck or Matt Damon?

There can be only one.

Charles Bramesco (@intothecrevasse), Freelance with Rolling Stone, Vulture, Vox

Dear Ben Affleck

  • LRM Online
Dear Ben,

I'm going to come right out and say it, since I know you've had a crazy few weeks and I don't want to take up too much of your time:

It's time to give it up.

No, not your career, which I think still has the potential to be one for the ages. No, it's time to give up the cowl.

Let's face it. Signing on to play Batman in the DC Extended Universe hasn't really resulted in the kind of career highlight you probably expected in 2014. At the time you were coming off of an epic reinvention as the writer-director of Gone Baby Gone, The Town, and Argo. You were a critical darling, an Award Season staple, and you'd successfully shaken the Etch-a-Sketch clean of past misdeeds like GigliJersey Girl, and Daredevil.

Yes, the future was bright, and signing on to play beloved hero Batman

Ben Affleck’s Batman: The already troubled history of The Batman

Luke Owen looks at the already troubled history of Ben Affleck’s The Batman

It was news that concerned fans of the faltering Dceu when it was confirmed that Ben Affleck will no longer direct The Batman, which is still supposed to be released next year. This bad news about The Batman follows rumours that Justice League is a mess, as is Wonder Woman, and The Flash is getting a page-one re-write following the departure of its second director.

“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions,” Affleck said in a statement. “Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film.

The Affleck Dossier: A Comprehensive Look At What Led Up To His Departure As Director Of The Batman (Video)

  • LRM Online
For longtime Lrm readers, last night's announcement that Ben Affleck was stepping down as director of The Batman was anything but a surprise. Hell, this story goes back to when we were still simply Latino-Review!

It all started when we reported one of our infamous Hot Rumors on June 19, 2014. In that report, we shared with the world that we had confidential sources telling us that Affleck wasn't only signed up for acting duties when he signed on to join the Dceu (which was the big story at the time), we had it on good authority that he would also be directing a solo movie, and that it would be called The Batman. This was almost three years ago, when none of this was publicly known.

For whatever reason, Affleck and Warner Bros. refused to go public with what we reported until almost two years later! While we reported on June

Bad News For Ben Affleck: The Cost Of Live By Night's Failure Has Been Determined

  • LRM Online
A frequent topic within Lrm lately, which you've likely heard spill over onto the Los Fanboys Podcast (assuming you listen to it...which you should!!!!), is Ben Affleck's current career trajectory. We're all fans of his and I- in particular- have been very happy to see him return to the top of the mountain in the last seven years. I've been rooting for the guy since 1997 when Good Will Hunting came out and made him and Matt Damon household names. So no one was happier when he bounced back from being the butt of many a joke to suddenly being an artist that demands respect.

Remember, he started hot in 1997 and then, while Damon went for smaller, more intimate, character-driven movies, Affleck went big. He leapt from the indie darlings that brought him to prominence towards big-budget popcorn flicks like ArmageddonPearl HarborPaycheck, and Daredevil. And when he

Warner Bros vs Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck made his name with a combination of geeky-level indy movies, starring in Chasing Amy and Mallrats for his friend Kevin Smith, and Academy-beloved dramas, the Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting and Shakespeare in Love.

Matt Damon had hair back then.

Then he starred in a badly-received superhero movie dogged by an interfering studio (Daredevil – 44% on Rotten Tomatoes) and a critically-panned crime film (Gigli – 6%), released around the same time he publicly split with his celebrity fiancée (Jennifer Lopez).

Who saw that coming?

That was 2003, and Affleck’s
