Even after writing and being slated to star in the comedy “Trainwreck,” Amy Schumer was shocked to be asked to lose weight for the role she created. In a new interview on “The Jonathan Ross Show,” the actress revealed that she was shamed into shedding pounds before filming started.

“It was explained to me before I did that movie that if you weigh over 140 pounds as a woman in Hollywood, if you’re on the screen, it will hurt people’s eyes,” she recalled. Schumer ultimately succumbed to the pressure and dropped a few pounds before filming.

“I didn’t know that so I lost some weight to do that, but never again,” she added.

26 July 2016 1:48 PM, PDT | Rollingstone.com | See recent Rolling Stone news »

The company that created the hydraulic Millennium Falcon door that injured Harrison Ford on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens two years ago has pleaded guilty to failing to protect actors and workers on set. Foodles Productions, which The New York Times reported was a Disney subsidiary that was named ridiculously in an effort to fool and repel Star Wars fans from filming sites, said it was responsible on two counts: failing to ensure safety and failing to keep Ford and other actors away from hazardous situations.

Is Jon Snow Dead? Kit Harington Lie Detector Test - The Jonath...Kit Harington tells the truth about Jon Snow's fate #TheJRShowPosted by The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday, April 2, 2016Kit Harington brought his perfect face to The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday night, where the British talk-show host decided the only way he was going to get reliable Game of Thrones information from Harington was by literally shocking it out of him. Using the "Stone of Truth" (a plastic, tribal-looking rock with a hole in it), Ross had the actor hold onto a shocking device that would ping him if he answered a question with something that Ross found less than truthful. "Are you dead?" Ross started out, referring to the infamous is-he-or-isn't-he death of Jon Snow. "Yes," Harington answered, getting an immediate shock. Harington also went on to deny that his character will return as a White Walker, »

Game of Thrones' Kit Harington Gives Shocking Answers—Literally—to Your Burning Questions

4 April 2016 7:10 AM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Kit Harington has had months of practice (probably) lying about Game of Thrones. He took that skill on The Jonathan Ross Show when the host, Jonathan Ross, put Harington to the test about season four with a little electric shock test. In the clip below, Ross asked Harington some Game of Thrones questions, like "Are you dead?" and if Ross wasn't satisfied with the actor's answers, Harington got a shock. There were a lot of shocks. Harington answered "yes" to "Are you dead?" Right… Harington also confirmed he is playing a dead body in Game of Thrones season six, which he has said before, but said he's not playing a White Walker. If only all talk shows and red carpets »

Kit Harington Takes Shocking Lie Detector Test About Jon Snow's Death

4 April 2016 6:58 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

No one could possibly be looking forward to "Game of Thrones" Season 6 more than Kit Harington so he can stop answering everyone's constant bloody questions about Jon Snow. Is he dead? Is he really dead? But how dead is he? Is he staying dead? Fans basically stalked Harington through filming for the new season, even more than usual, and pointed out when they saw him on set as evidence that Jon Snow is maybe not So dead.

Season 6 is starting on April 24, and the cast members, including Harington, are in promotion mode. Harington was just on "The Jonathan Ross Show" and he was asked/forced to do a lie detector test to answer questions on Jon Snow. It wasn't your typical test, though: Harington had to put his arm in the "Stone of Truth" and if Ross didn't like Harington's answer he got an electric shock.

The only acceptable answers were "yes, »

No one says "no" to Gaston! So when Jonathan Ross asked Luke Evans - who plays the French villain in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast - to preview his titular song, fellow talk-show guests Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton couldn't help but sing along. Evans nailed the impromptu rendition alongside Jackman, who took advantage of the opportunity to show off his pipes with the help of some sheet music. Hugh Jackman and Luke Evans Compete to See Who Makes a Better Gaston

21 March 2016 8:36 AM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Although we'll have to wait until 2017 for the release of the highly anticipated live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, Luke Evans gave us a pretty big taste of what he'll be like as the egotistical, beer-guzzling Gaston during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday night. The host challenged Evans to a Gaston sing-off alongside fellow guests Hugh Jackman, Taron Egerton, and Shazia Mirza. Thanks to Jackman's experience playing the character on Broadway, he was the perfect duet partner, and his Eddie the Eagle costar Egerton didn't do too shabby, either. Watch the fun video above, and check out who else is reviving the Disney classic! »

Hugh Jackman and Luke Evans Sing "Gaston" in Beauty and the Beast Musical Preview

21 March 2016 8:32 AM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

"No one's slick as Gaston / No one's quick as Gaston" and no one is as convincing as Gaston as Luke Evans and Hugh Jackman are. Evans, who is set to play the French bully opposite Emma Watson's Belle in the highly anticipated live-action Beauty and the Beast, appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show alongside Jackman and Taron Egerton and had a sing-off to determine who would actually be the best to play Gaston. Singing "Gaston," the four men and one woman took turns singing the catchy verses, all while holding full beer steins, of course. After watching this performance, you'll want Disney to cast all of them as the macho man. The most surprising person, however, was definitely Egerton. The »

Taron Egerton Reacts to Young Han Solo Casting Rumor

21 March 2016 8:30 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

Taron Egerton is either already in acting mode when it comes to the "Star Wars" spinoff following young Han Solo, or rumors of his potential involvement have been greatly exaggerated.

Last we heard, "The Kingsman" actor, 26, was on the shortlist of frontrunners for the part. The Hollywood Reporter recently said a few stars were flown to London in early March to meet with producers. However, just a few days after that report came out, Welsh actor Taron was on "The Jonathan Ross Show" in the U.K., and directly addressed the rumor that he may be playing the young Han Solo. Here's what he said about that:

Egerton: "I've heard this rumor. Yes. I mean, I've seen the stuff on the Internet, and I think any lad of my age would kill to play a part like that. It's very, very flattering. I have no idea if there's any truth in it. »

Taron Egerton Denies Han Solo Rumors

20 March 2016 2:23 PM, PDT | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

Last week came word that Phil Lord and Chris Miller's "Star Wars" anthology movie about Han Solo, currently targeting a May 2018 release, had narrowed its shortlist of candidates down to around three names - "Kingsman" star Taron Egerton, "Hail Caesar" scene-stealer Alden Ehrenreich, and "Transformers" actor Jack Reynor.

With filming to begin later this year, a name is expected to be announced soon and the best bet seemed to be Egerton. Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday though, the actor was asked directly about this possibility and indicated that he hasn't been contacted by either Disney or Lucasfilm about the part:

"I've heard this rumor, yes. I mean, I've seen the stuff on the Internet, and I think any lad of my age would kill to play a part like that. It's very, very flattering. I have no idea if there's any truth in it, but I mean, »

Taron Egerton addresses young Han Solo rumours

20 March 2016 11:45 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

A few days ago, it was reported that Disney and Lucasfilm have whittled down the 2500-strong contenders for the role of the young Han Solo in the 2018 Star Wars Anthology movie to just three candidates: Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) and Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service).

Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show alongside his Eddie the Eagle co-star Hugh Jackman, Egerton was asked about the rumours and claimed he’s had no contact about the role.

“I’ve heard this rumor, yes. I mean I’ve seen the stuff on the Internet, and I think any lad of my age would kill to play a part like that,” said Egerton. “It’s very, very flattering. I’ve no idea if there’s any truth in it but I mean, Lucasfilm, Disney, if there is then you know where I am.”

Will Poulter Was Once Confused With Sid In Toy Story, See A Side-By-Side

27 January 2016 10:24 AM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

When you.re a professional film actor, dealing with fans is part of the job. You.ll get recognized by people who want a photo or an autograph. It.s the cost of doing business. Most actors don.t have a problem with this. Some even enjoy it. The Revenant.s Will Poulter was a little shocked one of the first times he was recognized in America. He was even more shocked when he realized the reason he.d been recognized was because a woman thought he was Sid, from Toy Story. I have to admit, I never really saw the similarity, but now, thanks to Yahoo, I will never be able to unsee the similarity. Will Poulter told the story on The Jonathan Ross Show. It.s not exactly clear why a living human woman, apparently capable of coherent sentences, thought Poulter was a cartoon character. Apparently Poulter was »
