Trivia

Earlier on before the beta testing, Capcom announced that main Street Fighter characters Ken Masters and Ryu Hoshi would not be in the third installment of the series and that Sean (Ken's student), would be the main Hadou character. This choice, however, was changed after fans complained that the game would not be good if the original characters would not be in the game. So Capcom ended up putting them in the game and Sean as just a student of Ken (and it also really made Ken and Ryu the only main characters to be in all the Street Fighter games). See more »

Capcom's masterpiece
2 June 2002 | by (Aryshire, Scotland) – See all my reviews

This game (while not as good as the sequel, 3rd Strike) stands as a testament to how good fighting games still are. Beginners will easily pick up the controls, and moves. Veterans will excel with the new techniques available, like the Parry and Universal Overhead. Street Fighter 2 players or any fighting fans will feel right at home here, but I would highly recommend it to anyone due to it fun factor and replay value! Fighting games just don't get much better than this!!
