Trivia

An advert for the video/DVD compilation "The Best of 2DTV" was banned in early 2003, as it featured a sketch wherein President George W. Bush puts his video in a toaster. UK law states that adverts may not be offensive to individuals and that representations of living people can only be used with their permission. See more »

Satirical genius
3 April 2004 | by (UK) – See all my reviews

'2DTV' is one of the funniest, most entertaining shows on British TV at the moment. It is every bit as witty and satirical as it's predecessor 'Spitting Image' and really has some brilliant sketches to remember, featuring characters such as George Bush, Tony Blair and the Royal Family. Though Britain has fallen a little behind America when it comes to comedy, there can be no doubt that we will comedy kings again if we can produce more shows with the same wit and humour as '2DTV'. It fairly makes up for the loss we suffered in 'Spitting Image' which was also a classic and it was a real shame to see it axed. But '2DTV' fills the hole perfectly. A classic which satire fans cannot afford to miss.
