Bhanumathi passes away and Karthikeyan is now bent on taking revenge. Neelakantan loses his home and Karthikeyan ventures out in an attempt to reclaim his ancestral home. In the meantime, Karthikeyan abducts Shekharan's daughter Janaki (Vasundhara Das) in an attempt to blackmail him (Shekharan), during which they fall in love with each other. The remainder of the movie is about how Karthikeyan manages to get ... Written by Akhil Krishnan

an apt sequel to devasuram...
2 October 2004 | by (Michigan, USA) – See all my reviews

Mohan Lal's performance as Mangalassery Neelakandan in Devasuram was still fresh in our heads when they came up with the unexpected sequel to it. Ravanaprabhu was the best movie of the year, and Mohan Lal out did himself again. With the music of Suresh Peters, it also has a lot of foot stomping music... and not to forget more of Mohan Lal's catchy phrases... savaarigirigiri... Napolean is back with a vengeance, this time with his nephew, out to destroy Neelakandan. But one thing they didn't count on was Mangalassery Karthikeyan. Karthikeyan is even less forgiving that what his father was... Also starring are Revathy and Vasundhara Das. All in all, Ravanaprabhu is a must see.
