Sex & Nudity

A woman is seen in her black bra and panties while searching for a dress in her closet.

A teen girl asks her friend if she and her boyfriend "did anything" during their weekend together, and she teases her about what may have gone on.

The main character's child wants to be closer with his father, but the unmarried man tells his son that he and his mother were "young" when they had him.

Violence & Gore

Not much blood or violence, but this is a VERY scary movie.

A horse escapes it's trailer aboard a ferry and accidentally jumps overboard, causing it to get sucked underneath and into the propellers. We see the water turn bloody.

We see a man wrapped in electrical cords and wires. He sits in a filled bathtub, flips a switch, and electrocutes himself. Some blood can be seen in the water and the bathroom wall.

A woman holds a dead girl and watches as she decomposes into dirt. Disturbing and surreal.

A woman's nose bleeds and later a man and a boy both have bloody noses.

A woman takes a shower and we see some bloody water going down the drain.

The movie is most known for it's horrifying scenes where the video is played. The rumor in the movie is after you watch the video you die in seven days. The video shows bloody water, dead bodies, a finger being impaled on a nail, maggots crawling, and lots of other disgusting things. The video only lasts about thirty seconds though.

One use of "fuck", although it is very difficult to hear and is easily missed. Several uses of "shit," goddamn" and other milder language.

People smoke cigarettes. A woman briefly mentions 'getting high'.

A teenager tells her friend to ask her mom where she keeps the Vicodin.

In one scene, a man is seen buying cigarettes/drugs and the woman who sells it says that he "will die"

The entire movie is meant to scare you and the images are very disturbing and frightening. It takes alot to scare this moviegoer, but when I saw that girl walk out of the television screen, I didn't watch TV for a week. The simple image of a decrepit girl with long black hair is in some crazy way, extremely frightening.
