I believe no one who knew his work would agree that he was the best of the best. SHARKY'S MACHINE, TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA, PAPILLON, etc., are some of his movies in his pretty short career. My favorite is in Burt Reynold's movie STICK. He falls out a window (with his back to the ground) from maybe 50 stories. He is looking up with guns blazing in both his hands, facing the camera. He turned "base jumping" into an art, and so many other types of stunts. Buddy Joe Hooker (a legend in his own right) almost always worked with him. It is a true shame Dar died so young (ironically in a motorcycle accident, not for a movie) in his short career. I saw his biography (a TV documentary). I wish you could buy it. I might try Amazon.
