Anyone who has attended a comic or anime convention is all too familiar with cosplayers. Whether you're the person muttering "nerd" under your breath, or the one excitedly snapping photos of all the awesome designs, you can't miss those dedicated costumed fans. Did you know that cosplay is popular among horror fans, too? We naturally love dressing up anyway (Halloween!), so it makes total sense. More and more elaborate costumes are popping up at horror conventions everywhere these days. Rumor: Tom Savini Up for Friday the 13th’s Directing Gig?

In less than a year now, a new Friday the 13th film is expected to hit theaters on March 13, 2015. We've heard nothing of a writer. Nothing about a director, but something is coming, apparently, and the industry rumblings we have heard is that the producers involved - Platinum Dunes - are looking to do a "found footage" approach. There are a few conventions taking place this weekend, including Monster Mania. That's where Shock reader "Pizowell" informed us of the following:

'The Shining' Twins - 34 Years Later!

This past weekend at the Monster Mania convention in Cherry Hill, NJ, Lisa and Louise Burns - aka the Grady twins from The Shining - made their first ever convention appearance. It’s been 34 years since Stanley Kubrick unleashed The Shining on audiences and horror has never quite been the same. The Grady twins are an indelible part of that legacy and have contributed to countless pop culture references, artwork and cosplay. But hey, let’s be real, meeting the ladies who made “Come play with us, Danny” a part of our vernacular is a priceless commodity in and of itself.

Personally, I only had a brief few moments with the twins at Monster Mania, but they were sweet and if I can say, precious. They are quite petite, and I don’t think I’d be out of line to say I don’t think they’re much taller »
