Govinda and DD return again with a comedy after being known for their hit comedies from AANKHEN(1993) to the recent JODI No.1(2001)This time the film is lifted from Jim Carrey's hilarious LIAR LIAR(1997) which is modified to suit Indian audiences and Govinda's brand of comedyThe film however is scattered with some laughs at many places and at times too contrived portionsThe film starts off well, Govinda's scenes with Sushmita, the ways he tries to attract Sushmita and Anupam are superb Though the songs and also several scenes act as speedbreakersThings work fine The second half pushes the story 7 years later where Govinda becomes a rich lawyer(wonder why he had to waste time with Sush and Anupam throughout the first half then) There are several hilarious scenes like Govinda's speaking fast but sadly the film is too lengthy and there is lack of consistency in humour even the climax could be betterDirection by DD is good in parts, overall average Music is okayGovinda is the prime reason to watch the film, his ability to speak fast, his deadpan humour and his cheerfulness rise the film to a top level He also excels in the serious portions and steals the show Sushmita is annoying when she cries otherwise she is nothing great Rambha too is nothing great Anupam Kher hams, Kiran Kumar is okay Ashish Vidhyarthi is ordinary Satish Kaushik is likable, Razzak Khan is as usual Shahbaaz Khan is okay, Sharad Kapoor is nothing great
