A&E fails us
14 August 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

My husband and I decided to purchase this DVD for Christmas. What a mistake. We were expecting to see a look at the various sites the Holy Family visited in the Holy Land. We were especially interested in their time in Egypt. What we got was a mish-mash of very, poorly acted vignettes that purport to detail miracles of the Holy Family. One of the miracles details the case of a child that needs to have her hand amputated because she got a needle stuck in it. The night before the surgery the miracle occurs. We then see the mother bringing in breakfast to the child before she is scheduled for surgery. How silly is that--breakfast before major surgery. I can't tell you how bad this production is. I wish we had checked this out before we made this impulse purchase. A&E should be ashamed.
