Despite the fact that this is 'only' a TV-movie, it's very obvious that they have put a lot of effort in the story and the acting, because it all looks very good and professional.
Of course there are the usual clichés, which you can always find in this kind of cop-movies, like for instance a policeman who has infiltrated in a gang, wins their confidence, but than he has to betray them... And of course he plays the game by his own rules and not by the rules that his boss has set out...
I have to say that this movie's format may not be original, but it sure has plenty of other qualities which make this a very enjoyable movie. I give it a 7.5/10
