Summary of "Lost Hearts", 3 November 2006
Author: gilllew from United Kingdom

I well remember seeing the "Mystery and Imagination's "Lost Hearts" (in early 1966) at the age of 12. Even after all these years, never have forgotten how scared I was (watched it at a friend of my Parents's house) Remember the scene where he "Sleepwalks" (Stephen) into the Bathroom and the spirit of the girl rising out of the bath. The bit where the "spirits of the boy and girl" (with their long fingernails) Im almost certain that you didn't see them close up (as in the 1973 Version) Approaching the house and Mr Abney trying to keep them out of the room he was in. Was found dead in the room) A lot of people who saw the "Excorsist" said that was a truly frightening film (saw in 1974) Have to saw the "Lost Hearts" was a lot more scarier (sort of thing that makes you feel scared to go up stairs (on your own) Worried if someone like the "Bogeyman" is lurking in the shadows) The 1973 version was a lot scarier (seeing the children more clearly) looking through one of the windows) and going into the room of Stephen. The boy holding a "musical instrument" playing a spooky melody. Remember it ended with the "girl" stabbing Mr Abney (saved Stephen from a similar fate)As he was about to kill him in a similar way. Don't remember the very ending of the story. I think it was on again a few Christmases ago (definitely not the type of thing to watch on your own!) Glad Im not the only person who found the "Ghostly Children" very upsetting and disturbing.

Thanks.
