As we told you recently, Bollywood Dance Guru Shiamak is getting ready to bring the magic of his Bollywood dance to the Us. Reaching out to over a million dance enthusiasts across India, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates, the Shiamak Dance Academy classes opening in New York and New Jersey, are just another way for the choreographer and teacher to, as he says “spread the joy of dance”. Free classes are being held this weekend and then the first batch of classes begin on October 11th.

Some people talk the talk and others walk the walk. Vivek Oberoi, described as a Bollywood actor, social worker, adventure sports enthusiast, poet, pilot and dreamer, inspired over 120 guests to walk the walk as he does so gallantly at the Women Empowered event in support of Sewa Day on Tuesday July 1st.
The event, all organized in just 10 days, and sponsored by Sun Mark Ltd in association with Sterling Media, was sold out and those present were almost transfixed by the depth of Vivek’s thoughts and left wanting to hear more. The event was to raise awareness for Sewa Day, an initiative to remind us that charitable giving is not always about donating money, it was, many a times about donating time – the concept of selfless service that generations of Indians (and many others under a variety of names) have known as ‘sewa’ was being revived to a mass audience. »

The much awaited 15th Iifa Celebrations have kick started in Tampa Bay, Florida and day 2 of the Videocon Ddb Iifa Weekend saw a day full of Bollycool events. Anupam Kher premiereed his short film I Went Shopping For Robert De Niro and said about the movie, “I went shopping for Robert De Niro’ is a tribute to the greatest actor alive.” He also held an acting workshop with many memeber of the audienece takeing part. Anil Kapoor Inagurated the Iifa Expo which showcases businesses from India and Us. The focus areas are property, wellness and tranquility, jewelry, banking, tourism, bridal wear, clothing, handicrafts and artifacts.
They also held a press conference that saw Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Hollywood actor Stephen Baldwon and Anil Kapoor take the stage. One of the highlights had to be Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Commissioner Al Higginbotham dance to Do Da Tampa with the stars on stage. »

Come April, the Indian Film fraternity will take the United States by storm, as the 15th edition of the Iifa Weekend and Awards will play out from the 23rd to 26th in Tampa Bay, Florida. The International Indian Film Academy (Iifa) held a press conference in Mumbai yesterday, attended by superstars Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar to tease us even more of what we can expect when Iifa hits the Us!.
One of the biggest treats among the many is that Tampa Bay will see one of the best dancers in B-town show off his signature moves at the Tata Motors Iifa Awards this year. Yes, Hrithik Roshan will be lighting up the stage. Speaking about his performance, Hrithik said, “I have been a part of many IIFAs where I have performed at different locales. Iifa was in fact my first international performance and something I have always treasured. »

The International Indian Film Academy (Iifa) visited the United States for a special multi-city promotional tour of New York, Houston, Tampa and Orlando on the 11th – 14th of March and with them was one of Indian cinema’s biggest names, actress Vidya Balan who talked the upcoming Iifa Celebrations presented by Freedom Health. The Videocon d2h Iifa Weekend 2015 will be held from the 23rd to the 26th of April in Tampa Bay. Iifa partnered with Us Bollywood Enterprise on the New York leg of the Us promotional tour and with Star Promotion Inc for the Houston press meet.
