This is an excellent example of cinematography.
3 December 2001 | by (US Citizen living in Peru) – See all my reviews

The acting was superb and the story more truthful that most people would like to imagine. It is not a movie for the weak spirited. Although I have seen some of these scenes with my own eyes, living here, I can imagine the ones that I have never seen, nor wish to ever encounter.

Do not miss this movie solely on the facts that you do not speak Spanish or know nothing of Peru . Even without subtitles, the camera tells the story beautifully. Dark and Powerful. Beautiful and Moving. If you know nothing of Peru, do remember, all cultures and countries have many faces and facets, and this is only one of them.
