Not perfect, but one of Burbank Animation Studios' better efforts
30 June 2012 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

I have a soft spot for the very obscure but entertaining Burbank Animation Studios animations. My first ones were Hansel and Gretel and Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but my personal favourite is The Count of Monte Cristo. White Fang does drag in spots and the voice acting is rather bland, but it is still one of Burbank's better efforts. The animation with the colourful, detailed backgrounds especially makes it one of the better-looking Burbank animations, while the music is very haunting. The dialogue is thoughtful and uncontrived, the characters are engaging and the story is well meaning and does on the whole have an emotional impact.

All in all, very good and worth watching if you can find it. 8/10 Bethany Cox
