In the triple threat main event, Kurt Angle legitimately got a concussion after the table prematurely broke during the botched pedigree attempt before Rock showed up. His performance during the match in such circumstances would lead to Vince having him win the WWF title 2 months later.
The Undertaker's opponent was originally planned to have been The Big Show, since they were tag-team partners at the 1999 SummerSlam one year earlier. But Big Show was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling because of weight problems, and Kane was brought in as his replacement.
