Storyline

A successfull novel writer called Dr. Jekyll feels haunted by Hyde, a character from his latest novel who somehow materialized. When Jekyll awakens from a surreal nightmare he realizes that Hyde took his penis away, leaving only a hole behind, what finally turns out to be the beginning of a psychological and at times quite campy journey through male fears of loss of power, identity and youth. Heard of Freud?
20 February 2007 | by (England) – See all my reviews

If the answer is yes, then the entry fee alone to this movie is about all it will amount to, in real terms since there are highlights to be found in the shadow side of the director's own misgivings ( I only suppose about the title ) but as for the plot? Well who has not ever lost it even just for a moment. For in time, I found the novelty of the title, quite a secret giveaway about the kind of expectation and judgement that is provoked by film analysis. How we view the movie is our attitudinal response, conditioned upon so much, that this film merited my fullest attention. Thankful of the reminder this review gives to me, I would say 7 from 10 Marks, is a generous mark, since I am fascinated by the differences of opinion. It is sure to strike a great conversation.
