Storyline

Firefighter/Paramedics John Gage and Roy DeSoto are each promoted to the rank of Captain in the Los Angeles County Fire Department. After the ceremony, whereupon the reality that they'll no longer be partners hits them, they reminisce about their six years of working together on Squad 51. In flashbacks, they remember some of the most memorable rescues and milestones in their paramedic careers. Afterwards, they vow to remain close friends even if they aren't going to be working in the same station any longer. Written by TorontoJediMaster

as last show-a little disappointing

just a question actually...why is kevin only listed as FF fire fighter and not the clarification as a parametic as well!! Randolph was listed as such! but no matter, I have followed careers of both, post Emergency! particularly Randolph as he has taken the essential additional training as parametics/fire fighters-have saved countless lives...and it is understood very well that this designation of 'parametic' training or emergency medical training (EMT),is recognized as a life saving program that is widely used, across the US and other countries as well! he spends time travelling across the country speaking on the benefits of this additional training...his ongoing efforts to support these programs has proved the validity and value of first responders to be able to take actions-right away-that will save a life!! congrats to all the stars, writers, directors and each and every crew member for making this series as popular as it was and one of my all time favorites of shows during this time period! sincerely, kgs
