not the WWF's best ppv
23 October 2001 | by (Nashville, TN) – See all my reviews

Well I was rather disappointed with No Mercy this year, it didn't suck it just was a bit disappointing. Match 1 started out hot though with a pretty good match between the Hardy Boys against Hurricane & Lance Storm. Match 2 was really good as two monsters Kane & Test had an awesome vicious battle, Test gave Kane a boot at the end that was just vicious. Match 3 was the lingerie match between Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson, they looked great but this shouldn't have been done on a ppv. Next match was one of the worst ladder matches ever, as Christian defended the IC title against Edge, it wasn't "terrible" just one of the worst ever. Match 5 was the Dudley Boys vs Big Show & Tajiri which was just pointless and your typical Smackdown or Raw match. Match 6 was probably the worst of the night, besides the lingerie match, Booker T took on the Undertaker, seriously fast foward this one. Then we had the most refreshing event of the year in the Jericho vs Rock match, I won't give away the ending but it's a nice breath of fresh air, and these 2 had a pretty good match, probably match of the night maybe. And the main event which was the shortest main event for a ppv in a long time saw a triple threat match as Stone Cold defended his world title against Kurt Angle and RVD, this match was the big let down for me and the ending was pathetic, overall the pay per view probably deserves a B
