The Angry Kid is alone in the back seat of the car as his dad heads down the motorway listening to boring music. "My tape, dad, my tape," the Kid pleads, begs, and wheedles. Dad gives in and pops the Kid's tape into the deck: it's Captain Thunderpants, sort of a punk rocker, singing lines like, "Stew my foot and call me Brenda." The Kid is transformed, singing along, producing a horn and squeezing the bulb. He's out of control, and dad may put his foot down (on the brake). Can the Kid, his dad, the car, and Captain Thunderpants all carry on, or will some part of this partnership break down? Written by
'Captain Thunderpants' surely is the most intruiging name ever given to an Angry Kid episode. Too bad I can't say it's one of the best, though...
The Angry Kid is sitting on the backseat of his dad's car once more. He's sick and tired of listening to his old man's music (and who could blame him) and demands they're gonna listen to a tape of his by a band called Captain Thunderpants. Now, if this band already has a strange name, you should listen to the lyrics to their songs...
When Angry Kids adds a little something of his own to the music (some annoying honking), his dad is fed up, stops the car and replaces the tape. Now how do you start your car again...?
Funny episode, though nothing special in the series. Although I would buy a Captain Thunderpants album in a heartbeat!
