It starts out as a simple family film. The husband has a nice white collar job in, I think, the securities business. The wife stays at home and takes care of the family's nice apartment. Then, suddenly, disaster strikes the happy family and they become under a mountain of debt. They have a month to find some way to pay off the debt. The two parents work their hardest to make sure the family keeps their lives. The quality of the movie is a bit oscillating. It starts off as a worthless, lighthearted, family film but quickly descends into a serious look into the sacrifices and hardships that parents must endure to secure the wellbeing of their children. The problem lies in that the adult themes are too heavy. What could very well had been a decent family film on sacrifice is ruined due to a few of the more adult and graphic scenes. On the flip side, a good bit of the movie is too childish for an adult audience. I have to wonder what type of audience the film makers had in mind. An okay film overall though.6/10
