Not bad at all
SoulfulFX11 June 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I haven't seen all of the series yet, but from the dozen or so episodes I have seen so far I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. For a kids-block show, it has some surprisingly good story lines though it caves into the kiddy-theme now and then. Its far from the top tier quality of something like Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, etc... but it's at least a step up from the likes of Pokemon or Digimon.

I especially was pleased with the relationship of Yakumo to the Enterrans...putting Humanity on the endangered species list and having the youthful sweetness of a young girl as the real last hope to save everyone. Enlisting Mushra/Mushrambo as her staunch ally is a nice touch since he was theretofore destined to kill her...and so now defeats his own kind in Humanity's defense.

Simple, Short and an Incredible Adventure.

Shinzo is the type of story made for teenagers, shows a simple and interesting plot, characters using powers related to different type of animals. Each type split in different reigns. I Highly Recommend.

enterra gets trouble

Warning: Spoilers
shinzo is a pretty long series that contains all ingredients to make a good anime, love, friendship, honor, and supernatural powers.

500 years ago the human race got extincts by a virus. the humans made genetic manipulated creatures called enterrans to save mankind. but the enterrans turned there back on the humans and destroyed them, getting control on earth and recalling her enterra. but one doctor who foresaw what was gonna happen put his only daughter, yakumo tatsuro, in a special sleep so she slept for 50 years. but because of a flaw in the system she slept for 500 years instead of 50. when she wakes up all the humans are gone. she travels to the west, to shinzo because she believes that there are still humans there. on her way she meets three friendly enterrans, Mushra, Sago and Gutal and they help her with there hyper power to get to shinzo while there attacked all the way.

the show is relaxed to see and very funny most times. it knows emotional pieces but most of it is pretty light.

there are two seasons and it never get's boring and the end is surprising and beautiful the show does contain a lot of violence.

but is a good anime for the younger animal lovers.

An Adventureous series!
SonicStuart4 June 2005
Shinzo is an very cool anime cartoon with lots of adventure to the plot of the story and cool action! Shinzo is based in the future. Humanity has been exterminated by a genetic race they created to fight a deadly DNA virus that was wiping out the human race. One of the scientist had placed his young daughter in a cryogenic sleep within a multi-purpose vehicle called Hakuba, hoping that she would awaken 50 years later and find surviving humans, so that she could establish peace between them and the genetic beings, the Enterrans. The girl, Yakumo received special powers at the impact of a meteorite, the impact after which the Enterrans went evil. When she awakens 500 years later sue to a computer error, she goes on a journey and meets three Enterrans: Mushra, Sago, and Kutal, who decide to join her. Together, they seek a location called "Shinzo" where the last hope to restore humanity is said to be located somewhere west, while discovering the secrets of the past. In the unlikely event of powerful enemies, Mushra, Sago, and Kutal can use the power of their gems and form Mushrambo! This show premiered back in July 2002 on ABC Family and I think Fox Kids Network, but I didn't remember seeing the show on Fox Kids but I do remember that it was on ABC Family. I think the plot is really great for this series.

Damn good show...

Warning: Spoilers
Pretty much what a condensed version of the Dragon Ball series would be like with better story telling and characters that are marginally more interesting. I'd dare not to spoil away the goodness that this anime .What is it about most bad anime not being short enough or most good anime not being a little bit longer (or at least not ending on a cliff hanger)? Yakumo while at times can be annoying is a very endearing character and helps to push the others forward in spite of all odds. Mushra, Saago, and Kutal being the fighters on the good side all compliment each other yet they also have differences which they gradually overcome. This show has very few moments of humor (though there is one episode seemingly centered around humor), they all definitely hit the mark. Overall an excellent show to get into and it never overstays it's welcome but isn't too short. Give it a watch if you call yourself an anime fan.
