An underrated movie

I watched this movie just because of Prithviraj Kapoor but never thought it to be such a good movie. A very simple story of three daughters in law trying to woo their new neighbor, a famous film star, and get close to her in order to get undue fame by spending more than what they should have. In the end the father in law sets everything alright. It's a complete family drama with lots of humorous sequences and a civic message "Utane Pair Pasariye Jitani Chaadar Hoy" for those who try to show themselves off.

All three sons & daughters in law played by Agha & Janaki Sowkar, Ramesh Deo & Jayanti and Rajendra Nath & Vaishali have done justice to their respective parts. Shashikala is good as a film star. Prithviraj Kapoor is Prithviraj Kapoor, he never went wrong but I missed his voice & dialogue delivery as I don't know why Bipin Gupta has landed voice to his character. Other disappointing factor of the movie is songs & music by Kalyanji Anandji. In any case, a must watch for all of us.

Pleasant surprise

This movie was coming on TV and I just recorded it so that I can watch it while I'm doing something else in parallel. I thought I would delete it in 10-15 minutes if it does not turn out good.But, this came as a surprise. The movie which I thought would be a serious family drama turned out to be a light heart family comedy. It has continuous and engaging fun scenes throughout. The things that other movies presented with so much seriousness and loaded with tears and tragedies, this movie does with humor. The leading ladies are not well known but delivers good acting. I wish the movie had good songs as well. I forwarded them while watching. Overall a good one.

Do not miss if you love oldies.

3 competitive daughter in law and 1 good man father in law

It's could have been better. The message is good. But too much boring to see all are madly competitive with the 'heroin'. Everybody acts very well. The father in law is too good. The 3 sons are also good. The 3 daughter in laws are also good. Jagdeep is too good. And mostly the kids. A nostalgic movie.
