While Dark Shadows is a delightful, fun show to watch, the Dark Shadows fan festivals are another matter. Though the show was a huge hit in it's day, few of it's cast members had significant careers after the show ended. Dark Shadows ended in 1971, by 1975 most of the cast were forgotten has-beens. This video is a record of sad people living in a dream world. Of forgotten actors living in the past. Of repressed, lonely fans who have not moved on. It is a tragic testament, and hardly does justice to the once innovative show it claims to celebrate.
