Such quite submissive meek roles don't suit Karthik . He should have taken Ramki's role of a foreign returned happy go lucky scion . Here Karthik is an orphan adopted by Ramki's family due to his insistence when they were kids . Ramki's father Nizhalgal Ravi resents Karthik and shows it at every opportunity .
When Ramki goes abroad to study, they fnd this chance to throw Karthik out who leaves the house meekly . He starts living with a kind police man doing bits and bobs in some buildings .He mets blind Devayani who is a flower seller . Slowly he starts liking her and musters enough money to get her eye operated .
The kind doctor Srividya takes Devayani under her wint . Some misunderstanding leads Karthik to be jailed . Without him returning Devayani starts living with Srividya in her palatial bungalow .
Ramki returns back and falls n love with Devayani at the first sight. His parents who are status conscious have no option to get them married due to their only son's insistence .
When Karthik comes out of jail there is a lot of heart breaks, confusions between the three . In the end all becomes well and Karthik gets Devayani
Big actors like Vadivelu and Manivannan are wasted in minuscule roles.
