Parents Guide for
Fils, Le (2002)

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

There is no nudity and no sex. The main character becomes obsessed with a boy, and follows him into a locker room, gazing at him. The scene following it, shows him taking off his workers belt in the car, and some may think he is fantasizing or touching himself. It seems that there is pedophilia/homoerotica going on, but this is not the case at all, and it turns out that he is obsessed with the boy for a completely different reason. As Roger Ebert states in his review, we assume he is lusting after the boy because "We have seen too many movies."

Violence & Gore

No violence. No gore. No blood. Mild physical contact.

Profanity

The Lord's name is NOT taken in vain. 2 instances of "bulls**t", 1 instance of "p*ss"

The main character smokes many cigarettes, and when an adolescent asks him for a cigarette, he gives him one.
