Leonardo DiCaprio is doing his part to strive for transparency over any connection he or his environmental charity may have to aÂ multi-billion-dollar Malaysian corruption scandal.
In a statement released on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the actor said DiCaprio is fully cooperating with a federal investigation into whether the star’s 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street was partially funded with laundered money, and whether the actor’s eponymous foundation received donations that were taken from those embezzled funds.

Paris — Six months after presenting the remake of the classic TV miniseries “Roots” on the stage of a jam-packed auditorium at MipTV, Sean Cohan, A+E Networks’ president of international and digital, will be back in the spotlight in Cannes at this month’s Mipcom confab.
Cohan, who will deliver a keynote address along with YouTube’s Susanne Daniels and creator/executive producer Adi Hasakone, is one of the driving forces behind the Women in Global Entertainment Summit and this year’s new Diversity Summit.
At A+E, Cohan oversees 75 branded channels across more than 200 territories. He has so far spearheaded co-productions such as “World Wars,” “Barbarians” and “Pawn Stars” as well as launched the group’s distribution unit dedicated to made-for-tv movies and drama series such as “Roots,” “UnREAL,” and the upcoming dramas “Knightfall” and “Six.”
