This film marks the last time Scott Innes and B.J. Ward provide the voices of Scooby-Doo, Shaggy Rogers and Velma Dinkley, as Casey Kasem would reprise his role as Shaggy for the next film, Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire (2003), Nicole Jaffe would also reprise her role as Velma and Frank Welker would replace Innes as Scooby-Doo in all the direct to video movies from now on.

In the final level of the game, though set in a city with no name, if you look real closely, you can find the twin towers of the World Trade Center in the background along with the Empire State Building and Chysler Building, the latter of the three New York skyscrapers being in the scene set outside the malt shop
