Arriving just in time to kick off the holiday season, A Bad Moms Christmas is exactly as structurally safe and verbally vulgar as one might expect. Based off the success of the amusing first installment, the table was easily set for a holiday version with a few new additions. This time, our beloved bad moms each have bad moms of their own, who all conveniently show up to ruin Christmas in one way or another. Each of them (Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines, and Susan Sarandon) serve as foils to their respective children, and predictable conflict ensues.

Baranski’s uptight, Hines is clingy, and Sarandon is too flaky to be trusted. And with these trope-y conflicts, we’re off to the races. They push our original bad moms to their breaking points early on, and they decide that they have to take Christmas back. This means swapping elaborate Christmas decorations and

The 21st Century Has Delivered Many of the Biggest Hits in History

25 of the 100 all-time biggest-grossing films have come from the first 16 years of this century. 1984 to 2000, the era that perfected the modern blockbuster and mass release of movies, brought 17. So the 21st century has been an era of major hits.

But oddly, the first current-century films on the all-time-grossers list places #11: “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” And “Avatar” is #14. (This is where adjusting becomes essential — unadjusted, the ten

Coco: Pixar Shares All-Latino Voice Cast For Their Upcoming Film!

Diversity is kind of a hot topic nowadays. As citizens of a melting pot of a culture, it’s nice to be represented in mainstream entertainment. And if we’re being honest, it’s not just about diversity, but authenticity. It always rings a bit false when you have a white person portraying a person of color. It’s especially easy to get away with this in animation, where you don’t even see the voice actors.

Studios have gotten away with this practice for years, but in today’s world, they’re making a conscious effort to create films that respect the culture it’s portraying, and part of that has to do with the voice cast. This newer approach is expanding to Coco, the latest film from Pixar inspired by Día de Muertos, a celebration of the dearly departed.

This is obviously a story that’s steeped in Mexican culture,
