Taken spans five decades and four generations, centering on three families: the Keys, Crawfords, and Clarkes. World War II veteran Russell Keys is plagued by nightmares of his abduction by aliens during the war; the Roswell incident transforms Owen Crawford from ambitious Air Force captain to evil shadow government conspirator; the unhappily married Sally Clarke is impregnated by an alien visitor. People talk a lot as if the most important thing in life is to always see things for what they really are. But everything we do, every plan we make, is kind of a lie. We're closing our eyes and pretending that the day won't ever come when we won't need to make any more plans. Hope is the biggest lie there is, and it is the best. We have to keep going as if it all mattered, or else we wouldn't keep going at all.

Some people have commented about Taken being another so-called "sappy soap opera" but as they advertised, Taken was supposed to follow the lives of three families; which Bohem did an excellent job portraying. It shows how the aliens and the government effected the families. The tragic view of the Keys family, the uplifting view of the Clarkes and then the compulsive actions of the Crawfords. The beautiful narration of Dakota Fanning, especially at the end of the series. Also, don't forget the incredible cast. Joel Gretsch, Desmond Harrington, Adam Kaufman, Heather Donahue, Matt Frewer and Ryan Hurst and many others. Like Bohem said in the Inside of Taken, he wanted actors that did believe. He got them and in reward it was excellent. Mixing fact and fiction, making a realistic series that leaves us asking questions, whether or not we find the answer.
