- A man grabs a man's face and bites his tongue out (we hear the victim screaming in pain and the assailant is partly covered with blood when he spits it out).
- A man in a wheelchair is engulfed in flames and rolls down a street.
- A man is stabbed in the stomach; he clings to his assailant who drags the knife upward and the victim falls to the floor (we see blood on his shirt and pants).
- A man is stabbed in the abdomen with two arrows, he stumbles backward, leans on a desk and is shot a few times in the chest and stomach (we see bloody bullet holes and blood oozes onto his shirt where the arrows entered).
- Two men are shot repeatedly, they both fall onto the floor and one is shot a few more times in the head and face.
- A man threatens a woman with a gun, then we hear a shot, the woman's face is sprayed with blood and we see a pile of bloody goo on the floor.
- A man is shot in the head and falls to the ground (we see a hole in his forehead).
- Two men fight throwing each other around, one is stabbed in the thigh, and one is slashed across the chest.
- A man is forced to look at a slide of murder victims in different stages; we see women startled, then murdered with bloody wounds, then with mirror shards implanted in their eye sockets. Disturbing.
- A man is (roughly) knocked out when he walks to the door of a van and is grabbed by someone inside the van.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- There is a scene where the film's antagonist is recalling an event from his childhood. We don't actually see anything, but the man's voice (as a young boy) can be heard as well as the voice of an older woman, presumably his grandmother, both are shouting. From what is said it is learned that when Dolarhyde was a child he had a problem with wetting the bed, which greatly annoys and angers his grandmother. Dolarhyde is recalling one particular event where he had wet his own bed so he went and got in his grandmother's bed and after falling asleep he wets hers as well. We then hear the grandmother yelling at him, calling him a "filthy, dirty, little boy". Next she is heard telling him to get in the bathroom and take his clothes off and clean himself up. Next she is heard saying "take that filthy thing in your hand and stretch it out, do it now you worthless filthy little boy! Do you want it cut off, do you?!? Well that's what will happen if you ever wet the bed again!" By "take that filthy thing in your hand" she means his penis, so his grandmother is threatening to cut off his penis if he ever wets another bed.
- At the end of the film when Will is looking through Dolarhyde's scrapbook we see that he has wrote about this over and over again, and we see a drawing of him as a child cowering on the floor in a pool of urine and his grandmother towering over him threatening him with a knife. At the top of the drawing "filthy little beast" is written.
