Sometimes the Subconscious Knows Something is Wrong Before You Do!!!
7 October 2011 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

Deborah is a problem sleepwalker. She goes into her flatmate's room and tries on her clothes, tramps over the fields and is even found one morning asleep in the hall. Her flatmate's reactions range from mild concern to downright hostility (her boyfriends) and straight after the episode of the dirty feet he moves out. Not before a huge showdown. She has been talking to a psychologist who suggests that something is happening that only her subconscious is aware of, so she marches home and instantly accuses James of having an affair. It is so obvious that he is and now it is up to the viewer to fit the pieces together.

This is an excellent end to the first series and Keeley Hawes gives just the right dramatic intensity to Deborah. James (Ed Stoppard) leaves after the fight and the next morning Deborah awakes to find herself clutching a bloodied hammer. Did she actually commit murder or was she set up?? Flatmate David (Scot Williams) starts out as a guy with a crush on Deborah to being very creepy. He initially takes charge, getting her all cleaned up, destroying all evidence, refusing to ring the police but is he genuinely trying to help or is she being set up to believe she actually has murdered someone. It seems everyone has got something to hide - flatmate Corrie, even best friend Caroline

  • both of them assume a guilty "who me" look when Deborah tries to tell

them about her suspicions. Which was the whole trouble - she wasn't confiding in the right people, only the psychologist and she only talked to him on his way to classes!!!

Keeley Hawes is a beautiful actress who I remembered from "Our Mutual Friend" and the crazy "The Beggar Bride" (1997).
