Howard Stern has said that he would be honored to join America's Got Talent's judging panel. The radio host was first rumored to be replacing outgoing America's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan last week, with the show's producers reportedly considering moving the series to New York City to accommodate Stern's schedule. America's Got Talent co-creator Simon Cowell later commented that Stern could help breathe new life into the talent competition as it enters its seventh season. During Monday's edition of The Howard Stern Show, Stern was questioned by a caller on if he will be joining Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel on the America's Got Talent judging panel. Stern replied that he has "no deal with America's Got Talent", but would neither confirm nor deny (more) »

After a scandal and a shake-up, Billy Crystal will host the Academy Awards for the ninth time on February 26, 2012.
Crystal replaces Eddie Murphy, who was announced as the host in September but quit yesterday after his friend and Oscar telecast co-producer Brett Ratner resigned on Tuesday. Reportedly, the Academy’s Board of Governors unanimously decided to oust Ratner after his anti-homosexual comment over the weekend and a candid chat about his past sex life on “The Howard Stern Show” (details).
Crystal, 63, said hosting again “might be fun” in March and by August he said he was “itchy” to return “maybe one or two more times.” But Ratner, who worked with Murphy on Tower Heist, pushed his friend and first choice. It seems Crystal will have his way now. He tweeted, “Am doing the Oscars so the young »

Actor and comedian Billy Crystal said Thursday he was hosting the 84th Annual Academy Awards telecast. The 63-year-old Mr. Crystal, who has hosted the show eight times in the past, broke the news on Twitter, saying, “Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show.”

It’s safe to say the past couple of days have not been the movie industry’s finest hour. Over the course of 24 tumultuous hours, the producer chosen for next year’s Oscar telecast, Brett Ratner, resigned amid a firestorm of controversy; his handpicked host, Eddie Murphy, dropped out; and a new producer, Brian Grazer, was brought in to try to quickly clean up the mess.
Given that we’re talking about Hollywood’s most important and exalted event here, the one that is supposed to represent cinema’s highest values and achievements, and it all went kablooey over a few crazy days, »

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that Brian Grazer (Cowboys & Aliens, The Da Vinci Code) will be the new producer of the Academy Awards, the latest development in a wild 48 hours that saw previous producer Brett Ratner resign amid a firestorm of controversy and Eddie Murphy subsequently withdraw from hosting the show this morning. Ironically, Grazer also produced Ratner and Murphy’s latest film, Tower Heist. He joins veteran TV producer Don Mischer, who remained on as a producer after Ratner stepped down.

Though last night we learned that the Rush Hour and Red Dragon director would no longer be producing the 84th annual Academy Awards show with host Eddie Murphy after some disparaging remarks put him in a bit of a tight spot in the public eye, it doesn't sound like Brett Ratner will be bored at home (unless he actually watches the Oscars). In his interview with The Howard Stern Show (via The Playlist), the same one where he talked about banging Olivia Munn, Ratner revealed that he's currently working on remaking the 1982 sexy comedy The Last American Virgin, which is actually a remake of an Israeli film. More below! Though the film was overshadowed by another popular teen romp in the form of Fast Times at Ridgmont High, Erik Davis at Movies.com says, "If you want to know what it was like to be a teenager in the early 1980s, »

If his statement to the Hollywood Reporter is true — and you’ll understand why it’s questionable soon — Ratner called Academy President Tom Sherak this morning and “resigned” from his position as the show’s producer. He went out on his own terms, Ratner would have you believe in a full statement addressed to his “colleagues.” The letter includes his second formal apology in two days for saying, “Rehearsal is for fags” at a post-screening Q&A in L.A. over the weekend. (Here is video of the Rush Hour 3 director saying it, not ironically).
GLAAD spoke out against the comment, calling it “unacceptable.” Others called for his firing.

Well, that was quick. In the span of just one weekend, director Brett Ratner has somehow managed to unleash a P.R. nightmare of epic proportions, instantly turning most of the internet and Hollywood against him. (Well, okay that's not true... the internet was already against him.) After some questionable comments about his personal life on G4's Attack of the Show and The Howard Stern Show, the thing that really set people off was a homophobic remark made during a Q&A at the AFI Film Festival last Friday. When asked if he often rehearses scenes with his cast before committing them to film, he responded, "Rehearsal's for fags." He issued a public apology on the following Monday, but that didn't stop people from calling for his immediate dismissal as a producer of next year's Academy Award ceremony. Academy president Tom Sherak said that he would not be fired, »
Dogged by growing controversy over his use of an anti-gay slur at a screening of his movie Tower Heist and boorish comments he made about his sex life on The Howard Stern Show, Brett Ratner has stepped down as the producer of this year’s Oscars telecast.
Yesterday, in an attempt to tamp down an explosion of bad press surrounding Ratner’s comments, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Tom Sherak expressed support for Ratner, even as he criticized his comments as “inappropriate…dumb and insensitive,” saying that “we all make mistakes and I believe he didn’t mean it. »

The last few days have not been the best for director Brett Ratner. Today, while doing a phone interview on The Howard Stern Show, the Tower Heist helmer said he lied about having sex with actress Olivia Munn when he appeared on G4′s Attack of the Show last week. Ratner does call Munn “a friend,” and says the geek cult icon told him he is not the unnamed director she’s refers to in her book as having “undersized manhood.” Ratner continued: “She’s actually talented. The problem is I made her look like she’s a whore.” You can listen to the whole, »

Lou Bellera and Joey Buttafuoco went on The Howard Stern Show Wednesday to promote the upcoming “Celebrity Fight Night.” Stern and Robin Quivers poked at the two, especially Buttafuoco’s weight and needing pain medication for an injury. Even though Buttafuoco was clearly under the weather and was in stark contrast to Bellera, who is in shape, Buttafuoco said, “I’m confident [for the fight]…I feel good and I’m strong.” However, Bellera offered this as a retort to who is in better physical shape for the match. “Did you see our sex videos? Who’s in better shape?” He said. While Stern asked them if there would be bad blood exorcized in the »
Legendary singer Tony Bennett has apologized after claiming the Us caused the attacks on the Twin Towers during an interview on The Howard Stern Show earlier this week. The 85-year-old made the comments on Howard's Sirius Xm Radio talk show in New York on Monday. Asked how America should deal with the terrorists responsible for the World Trade Centre attacks, Tony asked Stern: "But who are the terrorists? Are we the terrorists or are they the terrorists? Two wrongs don't make a right. "They flew the plane in, but we caused it. Because we were bombing them and they told us to stop." Tony took to his Facebook yesterday to apologize for his remarks. He wrote: "I am sorry if my statements suggested anything other than an expression of my love for my country, my hope for humanity and my desire for peace throughout the world. "I am so »
The 51-year-old went on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ and talked openly about his sexcapades and alluded that his relationship may be over — should Simon have kept his mouth shut?
Simon Cowell should know that it’s never nice to kiss and tell. The X Factor creator had very loose lips when he sat down with notorious radio host Howard Stern on Sept. 7 and oddly said he “didn’t know” if he was still engaged to his fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy. Like any good host, Howard began grilling Simon for the odd remark and it only went downhill from there!
“If we were having this conversation off the radio I could have a normal conversation,” Simon said on Howard’s 101 Sirius/Xm show. To which Howard responded: “Pretend we are not on the air. Why is the question, ‘Are you engaged?’ so painful to you?”
Simon began to sound annoyed: “It is »

I, and lots of other critics who’ve never pirated a movie in our lives, have to surrender my cell phone and laptop to get into some advanced screenings of films. And then there’s Howard Stern. From The Wall Street Journal: Illicit copies of the movie “Super 8” that recently appeared on Internet downloading services appeared to have originated with a DVD “screener” that was sent to “The Howard Stern Show,” according to a person with knowledge of the incident. This person added that there was no indication of involvement by either Mr. Stern or anyone acting in an official capacity on behalf of his program, which is carried by satellite broadcaster Sirius Xm Radio Inc. »

Hugh Hefner has said that he doesn't want to throw his ex-fiancée Crystal Harris under the bus by responding to her recent comments on their sex life. Harris spoke about her relationship with the Playboy mogul in an interview on The Howard Stern Show this week. Hefner later told followers on his Twitter account that the interview was "crazy" and "didn't have much to do with reality", although later deleted the messages. However, he did reply to one follower who questioned which part of Harris's interview had been inaccurate, saying: "Crystal convinced me that she adored me. That was the first lie." He has now posted on his feed: "Howard Stern would like me to respond to his interview with Crystal on his show tomorrow, (more) »

The Playboy mogul was left heartbroken after the 25-year-old model called off their wedding plans at the last minute in June.
The pair has so far managed to remain friends, with Hefner stating, "I think an argument could be made that she took me for a ride but I must say, quite frankly, it was a pretty nice ride. It was two and a half very good years."
But now the split has turned nasty, with Harris appearing on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday to mock Hefner's sexual prowess.
She told the host that sex with the publishing boss lasted "like two seconds", before adding, "Then I was just over it. I was like, 'Ahhh.' I was over it. I just like, walked away. I'm not turned on by Hef, sorry. He doesn't really take off his clothes. I've never seen Hef naked."
Now Hefner has hit back at Harris' comments, branding the blonde a liar over her remarks.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, he writes, "Crystal did a crazy interview with Howard Stern today that didn't have much to do with reality. Is she trying to impress a new boyfriend?
"The sex with Crystal the first night was good enough so that I kept her over two more nights. Crystal lied about our relationship on Howard Stern but I don't know why... When I said, 'I missed a bullet' when Crystal left, I didn't mean I didn't love her. I meant I realized she really didn't love me... I feel sorry for Crystal. She seems lost. Crystal convinced me that she adored me. That was the first lie." »
Hugh Hefner is striking back at ex-fiance Crystal Harris after she said she was grossed out by their sex life on "The Howard Stern Show" today. The Playboy mogul tweeted, "Crystal did a crazy interview with Howard Stern today that didn't have much to do with reality. Is she trying to impress a new boyfriend?" In the segment, Harris told Stern that she never saw Hefner naked and was disgusted by their physical relationship, saying, "[It lasted] like, two seconds... I'm not turned on by Hef. Sorry." »

Lady Gaga got serious on "The Howard Stern Show" on Sirius, in a candid, 90-minute interview on Tuesday morning. The star detailed her thoughts on money, fame, the L.A. lifestyle, her sexual history and her past drug use.
During the interview, Stern vocalized his frustration, saying the singer waited too long to make a guest appearance on his show.
By the end of the segment, the radio host declared Gaga's acoustic rendition of "The »
