Robert Downey Jr. on His Interview Walkout: "I Just Wish I'd Left Sooner"

29 April 2015 2:42 PM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Robert Downey Jr. doesn't regret walking out of his interview with Channel 4's Krishnan Guru-Murthy last week. After the British journalist decided to steer away from talking about Robert's new movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and ask him personal questions about his drug-fueled past, the actor got up and walked out. Robert explained his distaste with the entire situation on The Howard Stern Show on Sirius Xm on Tuesday, saying, "I'm one of those guys who, I'm always assuming the social decorum is in play, and that we're promoting a superhero movie, a lot of kids are going to see it, and that just has nothing to do with your creepy dark agenda." He also said that he hated "feeling all of a sudden ashamed and obligated to accommodate your weirdo sh-t." He then pretended to address Krishnan directly, saying, "You know what? You are a bottom-feeding muckraker." Since the interview, »

29 April 2015 11:16 AM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

Robert Downey Jr. isn.t hurting for cinematic hits these days, especially with the wide release of Avengers: Age of Ultron in a few days. However, the actor actually missed an opportunity to be one of only two primary stars of 2013's $716 million-grossing, awards-reaping hit, Gravity. Downey just revealed why he walked away from what turned out to be an innovative, lucrative filmmaking achievement. In a recent interview on The Howard Stern ShowRobert Downey Jr. sat down to candidly discuss a number of things, like his recent awkward interview walkoff. The range of topics also included the story of his exit from Gravity, and a role that would go to George Clooney, who starred opposite Sandra Bullock. Apparently, filming the sublime, space-survival picture in 3D entailed some annoyingly tech-heavy conditions that he could not tolerate. According to Downey: I went to do a test with a new sort of »

As the exhaustive press tour for Avengers: Age Of Ultron comes to a close, Robert Downey Jr has commented on his decision to walk out of an interview with Channel 4's Krishnan Guru-Murthy last week.

After asking Downey Jr some questions with regards the film, Guru-Murthy then moved on to talk about the actor's past (and his well-charted drug battles, and prison time). Eventually, after questioning whether they were there to promote a movie, Downey Jr got up and left the room. The clip made its way around the internet really rather quickly.

"I wish I left sooner", Downey Jr's now told The Howard Stern Show. "I don't even know the guy's name, but I know that he pulled the same garbage on Tarantino, and »

Robert Downey Jr. isn't holding back on the journalist whose intrusive questions caused him to walk out of an interview last week. “I just wish I had left sooner,” Downey told Howard Stern during an interview on Tuesday. “First of all, I don’t even know the guy’s name, but I know he pulled the same garbage on [Quentin] Tarantino, and Tarantino stayed in his chair and lit him up for five minutes.” In case you hadn't seen the Tarantino incident, you can watch video of the heated encounter here: Downey cut the interview short after reporter Krishnan Guru-Murthy, a correspondent for Channel 4 in the U.K., began asking questions about his time in prison and his relationship with his father. "It's just getting a little Diane Sawyer in here," said the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" star before exiting the room. “I’m one of the guys who is always assuming the social, »

When Rumer Willis was a teenager, she — like many other teens — hung posters of hot celebs on her walls. One such hunk was Ashton Kutcher. But that all changed when her mom, Demi Moore, brought Kutcher home in 2003 and later married him in 2005. At the time Willis was 17, Kutcher was 27, and Moore was 42.   “It was definitely weird for a minute, but I have to commend him,” Willis, now 26, said of Kutcher on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM. 11 best moments from Madonna's historic Howard Stern interview

11 March 2015 6:17 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

The world turned upside down on Wednesday with Madonna's first-ever appearance on "The Howard Stern Show," and while it wasn't the "gay Super Bowl," as Bravo host Andy Cohen termed it (maybe a tad hyperbolic there), it was pretty surreal to hear the Queen on Pop in conversation with the King of All Media after so many years (decades, really) of seemingly mutual distaste. So how did it go? I'm a little mixed, to be honest. While Howard was typically insightful as an interviewer, Madonna never really let her guard down enough to show a side of herself we hadn't previously seen. Still, there were good moments. Here are ten highlights from the epic 90-minute sitdown, which included discussions of Madonna's childhood, her early New York years, past relationships with luminaries like Sean Penn and Warren Beatty, and her infamous fall at this year's Brit Awards. 1. Spider-Man: J K Simmons teases potential return

1 February 2015 10:46 PM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Could a new Spider-Man movie see J K Simmons return as J Jonah Jameson after all?

One of the absolute highlights of Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man trilogy of movies was the work of J K Simmons. Tipped to win an Oscar later this month for his staggering performance in Whiplash, Simmons took on the role of J Jonah Jameson in Raimi's Spider-Man movies, and stole every scene he was let anywhere near.

Since Sony rebooted the Spider-Man series, with the two The Amazing Spider-Man movies, Jameson hasn't been seen back on the screen. There have certainly been hints, and rumours of his return. But with The Amazing Spider-Man 3 - and Sony's planned Spider-Man universe - in some degree of limbo, we'd assumed that Simmons' work as Jameson was done.

But maybe not.

In a new interview on The Howard Stern Show, J K Simmons was asked about a »
