Musical without the lyrics
29 January 2002 | by (san francisco, ca) – See all my reviews

In a musical, the song sequences typically move the plot along and help to tell the story. In Vacuums, there are several sequences where the 'Stomp' players do their thing. So the movie (story) stops while the stomping happens and then the movie starts again. Basically a movie wrapped around a series of Stomp-esque performances. Either the stomping isn't integrated well into the story or vice versa.

It's supposed to be funny but it isn't. If you liked Stomp, you might like this movie, but I didn't.
