What a girl wants: to wear turbans, Instagram almost-crotch shots (no, really), gripe about dieting and opine on the most au courant manicure style. What a girl doesn't want: to attend a court hearing on her two outstanding misdemeanor hit-and-run charges. And what Amanda Bynes doesn't want, um, she gets. Because while the perpetually troubled star was keeping herself busy in New York this week by reintegrating herself into social media, her attorneys were back in Los Angeles, turning up to the actress' pretrial hearing over the latest additions to her rap sheet. Alas, as Bynes was apparently too busy to turn up at the courthouse (those body parts aren't going to tweet themselves, »
Amanda Bynes is coming out of retirement -- online, that is. The 26-year-old starlet famously (and abruptly) stripped down her Twitter account to nearly nothing in August, after she was accused of being involved in a hit-and-run accident -- one of two such charges she faced this year. But on Friday, Nov. 23, the What a Girl Wants actress resurfaced on the site. "My phone got taken twice but I got it back & am waiting to get reverified. I love my fans!" she tweeted, along with a [...] »
Amanda Bynes is back online! The troubled What a Girl Wants star posted a series of Instagram pictures of herself Friday, giving fans a little insight into what she's been up to since stripping her Twitter account down to nothing back in August. "What up doe?" Bynes wrote, linking to a picture of herself in a furry jacket, some kind of red turban, oversized sunglasses and extremely dark lipstick. "[Heart] my turban!," she added. "Bout to get my nails done. :D What color should I get?," she wrote, linking to the same photo again. "I want to go long and pointy!" The former Nickelodeon child star also posted an Instagram shot of her rear end and legs. "Losing »
Amanda Bynes isn't going down without a fight. Or at least a deal. The What a Girl Wants star, who has been living in New York for the past few weeks, pleaded not guilty today to two counts of driving with a suspended license. Her lawyer was able to appear on her behalf in Burbank, Calif., because the charges are misdemeanors. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Nov. 29, but it's likely a plea bargain is in the works, especially considering Bynes is also facing DUI and hit-and-run charges brought by the L.A. City Attorney's Office. She has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge stemming from her April 6 arrest after clipping a police cruiser in her BMW and has vehemently denied via Twitter »

Amanda Bynes reportedly barricaded herself in an La shop dressing room on Monday (September 17). The What a Girl Wants actress apparently arrived at clothier Kin just after 3.30pm local time and stayed in a stall for close to two hours, reports TMZ Bynes is thought to have told employees that she needed "more time" each time they checked on her. She ultimately emerged, paid for some items and then left in a taxi, according to a witness. The website quotes a store clerk as saying: "I was so worried about [Amanda]. I didn't know (more) »

Amanda Bynes has reportedly not checked into rehab, contrary to some media reports. The What a Girl Wants star was thought to have entered treatment on Monday (September 17) due to having her car impounded for a series of car accidents. A source close to the actress has now told E! News that Bynes is still staying at her Los Angeles home and has made no plans for rehab. Bynes is however apparently planning to appear in court on Friday to personally answer a charge of driving under the influence from earlier this year. One of her neighbors has also spoken out, claiming that Bynes has exhibited increasingly (more) »

"What's going on with Amanda Bynes?" certainly is the question of the day, if not the month. First off, the actress did not check into rehab per some reports, nor are there plans for her to go to rehab, a source close to Bynes told E! News Monday. A little more than 24 hours ago, police impounded her car after she was caught driving with a suspended license. It wasn't the first time she had been behind the wheel without a valid license, either—apparently it was just time for her luck to run out. A judge has advised her to appear in person Friday for a hearing on her pending DUI charge and our source says that Bynes will likely be there. Meanwhile, one of the What a Girl Wants »
What a girl wants is to have her name cleared, stat. Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes pleaded not guilty this morning to her DUI charge—this according to her attorney, Richard Hutton, who entered the plea on her behalf. Bynes was not present in Beverly Hills Superior Court for today's proceeding. A pretrial conference has been set for July 18. Yesterday, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office charged the 26-year-old actress with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence stemming from her April 6 arrest in which she dinged a police cruiser with her BMW. Per prosecutors' complaint, Bynes also allegedly refused a peace officer's request to submit to and/or »
The actress was arrested in Los Angeles in the early morning hours of April 6 on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence after reportedly getting into a minor accident with a Los Angeles Police Department officer. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department report indicates that Bynes, who was last featured (quite wonderfully, it's worth noting) in Emma Stone's hit 2010 comedy "Easy A," was attempting to pass a police car as it prepared to make a right turn at around 3 a.m. in West Hollywood when her black BMW collided with the right rear panel of the police cruiser, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
On May 27 she tweeted, "I can't help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. »

I think American Idol finales fall in to two camps: ones where the finalists are matched so evenly, where the result isn't as obvious as it seems. And then there are ones like tonight. I know how I think the results should turn out, but the signs were all over the place tonight: Phillip Phillips is winning American Idol.

Jessica Sanchez "I Have Nothing" I don't even know what to say about this. Sure this is a song in Jessica's wheelhouse, and she did what she could with it. But given that a)Shannon Magrane had already sung it This Season, and that b) it's the Third Whitney song Jessica has performed, I began to get angry. What an uninspired and predictable song choice. Emily Maynard would not reveal if she found a fiancé while filming The Bachelorette during a conference call with reporters Wednesday, but the Charlotte. N.C., sweetheart did tease that she "was happy before the show, but really happy now." "I had a million reservations and I said no to anybody who would listen. But time went on, we started talking again, and they were so accommodating that it was [too] great an opportunity to pass up," the 26-year-old single mom explained. "I had a great group of guys. I had the time of my life and learned so much about myself. »

Maybe Amanda Bynes has seen too many movies. The What a Girl Wants star was reportedly spotted making a laborious three-point turn, Austin Powers-style, in the middle of a busy West Hollywood street last night, which resulted in a hold-up in a traffic—and a bunch of night owls getting a glimpse of Bynes in another driving pickle. Police did not get involved—and that's obviously good news for the 26-year-old. Bynes was arrested April 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence after her BMW dinged a police car that was waiting to turn right. She was cited and released from custody without having to post bail, and will have to appear in court in the near future. The following day, »
What a girl wants is a lawyer. Amanda Bynes was arrested early this morning on a misdemeanor DUI charge after getting into a minor fender bender with L.A.'s Finest. Oops! The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells E! News that a black-and-white was preparing to turn right in West Hollywood at approximately 3 a.m. when the 26-year-old thesp, driving a black BMW, allegedly tried to pass and collided with the right rear panel of the cruiser, causing minor paint damage to both vehicles. Upon further investigation, the officer suspected the Easy A star had been drinking and subsequently arrested her for driving under the influence. Bynes was booked at the West Hollywood »

Fans of Christina Aguilera’s Spanish-language work from the early aughts can rest easy as the diva is getting back to her roots by singing the title track, “Casa de Mi Padre,” on the soundtrack to Will Ferrell’s newest comedy film (via Billboard).
Ferrell’s latest comic experiment is an independently-produced comedy that is entirely in Spanish (with English subtitles of course) and is a satirical ode to telenovelas (Spanish soap operas) – quite the interesting flick to get Aguilera back to her Latin heritage.
The new tune boats no synthesizers or AutoTune, rather swooning mariachi sounds with dramatic trumpets, strings and Spanish guitars giving the atmosphere an authentic flamenco flavor. Aguilera slays the song with her insane range – showcasing her powerful vocal skills nicely.
The singer notably released a Latin Grammy-winning Spanish album, Mi Reflejo, back in 2000. The disc contained Spanish renditions of her hits “Genie In A Bottle, »
