Delayed
7 February 2016 | by (India) – See all my reviews

The fun element of watching delayed films are the inconsistent looks, also it's a joy sometimes to see actors who have improved a lot in the passage of time. A pain is that it reminds us of things we wanna forget, also at times some films have actors who have fought with each other but have to work in the film though it's delayed. GAIR(1999) is one such film, The film was started in 1992 and released in 1999 after much delay. The film has Ajay and Raveena who had lot of fights in between and were not in talking terms due to some reason. Gair is their last film till date. The film is an ancestral as ever, the delay shows In every scene we have actors looking different, esp Ajay and Raveena the story too sounds outdated, the director everything is delayed. Direction is nothing great, due to the delay it's also hampered Music sounds outdated, though Laila perhaps shot later is quite upbeat, while Mere Dil Ne is a nice song though it's picturisation looks dated

Ajay Devgan has inconsistent looks, from his blank look from his earlier films to his 1998 looks, in fact in most of the scenes he wears a 1994 look. his acting also reflects the delay. Raveena Tandon's voice is dubbed in some scenes by someone else and she is okay, her looks too differ Amrish Puri is okay, Reena Roy, Ajnikyo Deo are all annoying Paresh Rawal plays yet another negative role and is okay rest are all okay
