The staff struggles under Slocum. When a body comes into the morgue, the staff believes that the person who killed was someone Macy helped apprehend. They think Macy should be asked to help but Slocum refuses.
A man is brought to the morgue. Later a woman claiming to be his wife shows up and burns the body, then kills herself. Jordan learns the woman is from Las Vegas and works at the Monticetto resort so she calls Danny McCoy. Who then arrives and tells her that the man who died was last seen with a Vegas mobster. Woody reluctantly works with Danny and they find more bodies but no links to the mobster which Danny says there should be. Garrett is about to do an autopsy on a man who died after riding his motorcycle. But some bikers come to the morgue and take the body. ...
A man who dies of tuburculosis immediately after being released from prison leads Jordan to investigate substandard health care in the prison system. Woody investigates a recently released rapist apparently determined to kill those responsible for his incarceration.
Jordan is investigating the mysterious death of a woman and her child. All points to the leader of a cult whom Jordan thinks is creepy. But she can't go in his cult so she turns to Pollock for help. And a woman asks for the sperm of a man who was brought into the morgue. But later another woman claims to be the man's wife and she doesn't want the woman to have it.
The murder of an upstairs neighbor puts his daughter at risk, and Jordan's family history seems to get in the way of helping her. Meanwhile, Garret and Lily are at odds on how to handle a case that involves a powerful man who will stop at nothing to hide the truth.
