Better than thought
28 September 2004 | by (Cologne, Germany) – See all my reviews

Check-In to Disaster (German title was Absturz in die Todeszone/ Crash into the death zone) is one of the best air disaster movies of the last years. Solid acting (Soldier Mueller performed by actor Andre Hennicke) and a well done script surprises the viewer although many story lines are a mix of all air disaster movies in the past. Director Friesner must have loved psychological dynamics in time of catastrophe. Not one minute in this film is boring or kitschy, the timing is excellent. With a bigger budget and one or two international stars this film would have been a bigger success for a wider audience. I recommend this film for all fans of air disaster genre!
