Long running news bulletin from the BBC
11 July 2005 | by (Derby, England) – See all my reviews

The Six O'Clock News started in 1984 on BBC1 and has gone through many changes since then, including opening titles, theme music and of course newsreaders.

The newsreaders include Anna Ford, Peter Sissions, Moria Stuart, Sue Lawley, Nicholas Witchell, Martyn Lewis, Andrew Harvey, Phillip Hayton and Huw Edwards. Its current presenters include George Alagiah and Sophie Raworth.

This news is detailed and I think it's better than ITV news programmes, which include adverts.

Long may the Six O'Clock News continue.
