Here we have the same special BBC news quality programme but we do not have to wait until the evening time for it.
Most working people in the UK, have a lunch break around 1 o'clock and therefore an in detailed news programme is ideal and the BBC has taken this opportunity to provide viewers with a change to catch up on news headlines while on a break.
Unfortunately in my case at the moment, one week I have a break at 12:15 'til 12:45, the next week it is 12:45 'til 13:15. Therefore sometimes I can't see any of it at all and other times I would only be able to see half of it.
Where I work, BBC One is not available, however they do have Sky News on so that means the news is available whenever I have my break.
I'm sure I am not the only person in this situation and with specific news channels, including the BBC's own channel News 24, the end of such news shows like the ones at 1 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock could be axed.
Do bear in mind such news programmes were devised before there were 24 hour news channels.
It would be a shame to see such programmes axed as they have been around for some time, but that's progress for you.
