Oh Good. Another Movie Based On A Nicholas Sparks Book. The man who has made a career and a fortune out of mining the same plot over and over and over again and is responsible for movies like "Dear John," "Nights In Rodanthe," "A Walk To Remember," "Message In A Bottle" and yes, "The Notebook," is back with "The Lucky One." Which is probably a not-so veiled reference to his success. This time Zac Efron will make your sister and your Mom swoon and grab the closest Kleenex box, as he stars as a Iraq war veteran whose life is saved when he randomly stumbles across a picture of a woman in the desert sand, just before a bomb goes off. The kicker is that she's like, totally hot. So he does what any sane and rational person does, he tracks her down, but instead of telling her his story, »
After 1993’s Macaulay Culkin-fronted “The Nutcracker” grossed $2.1 million and last year’s “The Nutcracker 3D” grossed $110,000, there’s absolutely no reason why New Line Cinema wouldn’t think it prudent to line up yet another update of the classic Tchaikovsky ballet. But if you’re starting to think that New Line knows something you don’t, you’re right: They’ve hired Adam Shankman to direct the thing. Adam Shankman is a studio’s dream. On all of the film’s he’s directed, his only concern seems to be entertaining audiences. He has no voice. His point of view is an amalgam of every 4 to 104-year-old person of any gender, race and religion who hates anything resembling pretension. He’s directed “The Wedding Planner,” “A Walk to Remember,” “Bringing Down the House,” “The Pacifier,” “Cheaper by the Dozen 2,” “Hairspray” »
Nicholas Sparks novels are an acquired taste. They are unabashedly romantic and gushy, which makes them perfect fodder for chick flicks. The man who gave us “Message in a Bottle”, “A Walk to Remember”, “The Notebook” and “Dear John” now brings you “The Lucky One”. There is nothing novel or new about the film as far as I can tell, though watching former teen hearttrob Zac Efron (of “High School Musical” fame), manly beard and all, playing a tough Marine who does tough things like go to war and romance Taylor Schilling takes a bit of getting used to. I’m just guessing here, but I’m pretty sure he gets the girl. Then he probably ends up losing her or she dies or he gets run over by a train or something. Isn’t that how Nicholas Sparks novels usually end? Anyways, take a look at his latest, from »
Well. Director Gus Van Sant (Milk) and screenwriter Jason Lew just went right ahead and upped the ante on the manic pixie dream girl. She now must not only be ethereally lovely, perfectly saintly, and at the same time completely bonkers, she also must be dying beautifully of cancer, the kind that doesn’t make your hair fall out but leaves you with a so-cute elfin haircut and a peachy glow. Oh, wait: A Walk to Remember did that a decade ago. Perhaps that nagging sense that there wasn’t a shred of originality in their work is what pushed Van Sant and Lew over the edge, for they sure do scramble to cram the “quirky” back into the please-god-kill-me-and-save-me-from-yet-another-ridiculous-teen-romance. Enoch. Seriously, our hero’s name is Enoch. He draws chalk outlines of himself in the street, like crime-scene cops do! He goes to the funerals of strangers... for fun! »

Mandy Moore has a four-for-four record of being awesome in guest-starring TV roles, so it makes sense that the adorable singer-turned-actress has gone and booked herself the lead role in a new ABC pilot.

Gus Van Sant has been known to deviate between the experimental and the mainstream during his career, but for every Milk or Good Will Hunting, there is a film such as Restless, which employs many of the director’s strengths but somehow seems to organise them into something twee and unappealing.
In this film of morbid echoes, the couple in question mirror that of Harold And Maude, as the film's protagonist, preoccupied and haunted by death, meets a girl who only has three months to live. Earnest male leads have had a little bit of a resurgence of late, with The Art Of Getting By and Submarine both employing detached teenage boys and presenting their characters with the challenges of love and companionship.
As the end of HBO’s Entourage has come and passed (pending possible movie adaptation plans), we are left with a huge void to fill in our TV viewing. However, why should the fun end with HBO’s decision to bring the series to an end? Let’s take an in-depth look at the fictitious films Vinny Chase participated in and let you decide which would have been the most wanted film!
Lets begin where it all started….
Although we don’t get to see Vinny’s role in this movie is a large influence on his Aquaman participation was based on his onset romance with co-star Mandy Moore. This is our one and only film that is not fictitious and has actually come to fruition. Vinny’s role was a small role.

The red carpet is one hell of a place to make an impression. You can light the gossip rags on fire with the perfect dress or you can catch the ire of a thousand fashion police officers with a swing-and-a-miss. Or, if you're "Boardwalk Empire's" Paz de la Huerta, you can hit the rare intersection of the two.
De la Huerta possesses the special type of devil-may-care attitude that allows for her public blunders to fuel her fame. Her red carpet (and orange skinned) appearance from Sunday's Emmy Awards has people wondering, "who was that disheveled yet oddly magnetic beauty?" Here's a quick catch-up on Paz:
Her full name is Maria de la Paz Elizabeth Sofia Adriana de la Huerta. She is best known for her role as Lucy Danziger on HBO's "Boardwalk Empire," but she has appeared in "The Cider House Rules," "A Walk to Remember," and "Choke, »
