A really cliché and formulaic movie. Not unusual in a Casper movie. A plot that doesn't make tons of sense. Not unusual in a Casper movie. Wooden acting. Not unusual in a Casper movie.
I dunno... this just didn't really work for me. A Casper movie is more fun and entertaining when something really preposterous is going on, like a global meltdown, or a giant snake, or ravenous vampires. Or something like that. Something that perks up and keeps the interest because it makes the viewer snort and guffaw with incredulousness.
This movie was severely lacking in the inducement of snorts and guffaws that makes a Casper flick a worthwhile experience. Casper's at his best when his character is dealing with a situation that would be classified under Totally Absurdly Inane.
More of a snoozefest than not, sad to say.
New Zealand was nice. Amazing, though, how many people there speak with American accents. Probably from watching too many imported American TV shows like Gilligan's Island and Green Acres.
