Storyline

The Dominion War is over and the galaxy is at peace again for the most part. USS Dauntless, a Federation Galaxy-class starship, is helping a colony of settlers, when the planet's sun suddenly destabilizes and goes supernova. Dauntless' captain, Robert Wright, is killed, but the ship manages to escape the massive explosion. The player is the ship's First Officer, who now becomes the new captain and must investigate what exactly caused the sun to explode. It soon becomes clear that this was no natural occurrence and that an alien device had something to do with it. When a warmongering Cardassian faction attacks the Federation ships, the player must help stop them. Are they behind your captain's death? Or are the mysterious Cardassian allies, known as the Kessok, behind everything? Trivia

The stardate marking the Vesuvi Event (54303.1) places the storyline some two years before the events of 'Star Trek: Nemesis' (56844.9), although the movie was released a few months after this game. See more »

Goofs

The course heading that Saffi orders to Kiska towards Starbase 12 (30.79/15) is incorrectly given. It should have been noted as XXX/YYY being both values a 000-359 degrees angle from the ship's position to the destination point. No decimal numbers, or two-digit numbers are used. The course notation was stated by Wesley Crusher in the _"Star Trek: The Next Generation" Datalore (1988)_. See more »

Quotes

Ensign Kiska LoMar: Commander, the base is jamming our communications towards the planet
Cmdr. Saffi Larsen: Brex, Miguel, solutions?
Miguel Pedro Diaz: ...well, if you give me a few hours I can conduct a scan of the starbase and the source of the interference...
Lt. Cmdr. Brex: ...or we can just destroy the base.
Lt. Felix Savali: I like that idea.

Excellent Game

Before i bought this game i played the demo and from then i couldn't wait to get the full game, The graphics are excellent but i wish there were more ships available in quick battle mode. Star Trek Bridge Commander is the best Star Trek Game ever made and will appeal to anyone who is a true Star Trek fan.
